Fresh Bread

Tuesday July 14, 2009
Today, even though we are in New York, we decide not to go into the city. We went around the town that Chris and Kim grew up in. We saw the house they lived in when they were kids, and the High School they went to. We also went to the famous Rockland Bakery. It was very cool. You walk in, and the bread is just sitting there in giant baskets and coming fresh out of the oven. You just put on a plastic glove and grab whatever bread you want. We also got cold cuts from the deli part of the Rockland bakery. After that we went to the Jewish bakery. We went there because the whole bakery is milk free, so Myles could choose anything he wanted. He was in heaven. Then we traveled to the graveyard where Chris’ and Kim’s grandparents used to live. Chris and Kim grew up playing all day in this graveyard. We had a picnic lunch, then played around while Chris, Kim, and Nana talked to their family friend Paul, who now lives in the graveyard. Then I drove around the graveyard, which is tradition because Chris, Kim, and Nana all learned to drive there. It was a fun day, and by the time we got home we were exhausted.
